HYPOXIC TRAINING

🫁 Supercharge your athletic performance and overall health!

Achieve enhanced endurance and improved oxygen-carrying capacity with each session. Hypoxic Training is a method that is aimed at imitating altitude training by reducing the amount of oxygen in the air you breathe.

BENEFITS
- Improved oxygen utilisation for better exercise efficiency
- Enhanced aerobic capacity for longer sustained efforts
- Increased red blood cell production for boosted oxygen-carrying capacity
- Better fuel utilisation for energy (e.g. sparing glycogen stores for longer runs!)

SUITABLE FOR
Intermittent Hypoxic Training (IHT) involves exposing the body to intermittent periods of reduced oxygen levels while seated and is most suitable for those seeking to increase their oxygen availability and usage efficiency at their current level of fitness or those preparing for high altitudes!

On the other hand, Active Hypoxic Training (AHT) involves exposing the body to a sustained low-oxygen environment for a longer period while engaging in physical activity, most often walking! AHT trains one’s breathing function against higher air resistance (think strength training for the lungs) and is most suitable for athletes wanting to maximise their lung and aerobic capacity.

THE PROCESS
You will be required to purchase a personal training mask @ $90+ and bring it to every session.
- Put on your altitude training mask.
- IHT: Alternate between intervals of hypoxic and normoxic breathing as instructed by our sport scientists.

- AHT: Undergo 20-30min of exercise (walking/running/cycling) under hypoxia, with the aim to bring blood oxygen saturation down to 75-80%.

* AHT can only commence after 3 sessions of IHT have been completed.
